Jim

Jim is the owner-operator of the desk and its design authority. Behind it are thirty years in electronics, telecommunications, IT and enterprise systems — in design and in architecture. LiquidBlack's research and investment desk is the first fully operational, self-managing AI-centric environment to come out of his private research practice, the Lab.

Shannan

Shannan is one of the desk's two principals and holds its capital and banking. She co-founded Flick Electric Co, the New Zealand electricity retailer later acquired by Z Energy, and has since delivered a series of successful property developments — the capital from which created the opportunity to build a research desk of our own, for our own portfolio.

Every position the desk takes is approved by both principals; the funds behind it are in her charge.
